It depends on whether Stata SE for the Mac is optimized for the Altivec 
routines on the PowerPC. I know that the regular (Intercooled) Stata 
interacts with Mac OS X in such a fashion that it doesn't exploit both 
the processors on my machine. The best I can do is get it to hog 1 
processor.
