Subject | st: New version of -rtfutil- on SSC |
Date | Sat, 15 Mar 2014 16:12:51 +0000 |
The -rtfutil- package is described as below on my website. The new version adds a new module -rtfinsert-, which allows the user to insert a piece of RTF code into an existing RTF document open for output, either from an existing text file or from an in-stream sequence of lines in the do-file terminated with a terminator string.
I would like to thank Alan Riley, Kerry Kammire and Karen Hickson for their very helpful avice on the unpublicized -_request2(macroname)- subcommand of the -dsplay- command, which made the -rtinsert- command possible.

These RTF files can then be opened by Microsoft Word, and possibly by alternative free word processors. The plots can be included by inserting, as linked objects, graphics files that might be produced by the graph export command in Stata. The tables can be included by using the listtab command, downloadable from SSC, with the handle() option.
