20th Stata users' meeting in London 2014

As you may have already seen
(http://www.stata.com/meeting/uk14/ or
http://www.stata.com/statalist/archive/2013-12/msg00445.html)
the next London users' meeting will be

Thursday and Friday, September 11-12, 2014

Venue: Cass Business School
106 Bunhill Row, London EC1Y 8TZ, UK
(just off Finsbury Square in the City of London)

(near the grave of Thomas Bayes)

The London meeting is the longest-running series of meetings of Stata
users' meetings, having started in 1995. The meeting is open to all
interested; in past years, participants have come from around the world.
StataCorp will be represented. We hope that many of you will want to put
this date in your diaries.

Potential visitors to London might like to know that, by British
standards, September is usually relatively dry and warm.

If you are interested in giving a presentation, please note that this
is now a formal call for offers. Please contact the scientific
organizers as soon as
possible and in any event before May 31.

Scientific organizers:

Nicholas J. Cox, Durham University
[email protected]

Patrick Royston, MRC Clinical Trials Unit at UCL
[email protected]

Presentation offers should include a name(s) and affiliation(s) of
authors, a title and an informative abstract.

Please indicate whether you wish to give:

1. a 20 min talk (followed by 10 min discussion),
2. a 10 min talk (5 min discussion), or
3. a longer review or tutorial (about an hour).

Presentation topics might include:

- discussion of user-written Stata programs
- discussions of problems of using or programming Stata in statistical
  analysis, data management, or graphics
- surveys or critiques of Stata facilities in specific fields, etc.

The meeting will include the usual "wishes and grumbles" session at
which you may air your thoughts to Stata developers, and (at additional
cost) the option of an informal meal at a London restaurant on the
Thursday evening.

Timberlake Consultants (for full details see www.timberlake.co.uk) as
logistics organizer generously sponsors registration fee waivers for
presentations (one fee waiver per presentation, regardless of number of
authors involved). Presenters need to register.
