I haven't used -midiagplots- myself, but I think I know what is going on anyway.
While her original variable, Prepregnancy_alcohol_consumption is a
perfectly good variable name, it appears that -midiagplots- is
creating some other variable by prefixing _0_ to that, which puts the
result over the 32 character limit.  I suspect if she -rename-s the
variable to something short enough to tolerate a 3 character prefix
she'll be OK.
I've encountered this kind of problem in other user-written (including
self-written) ado-files that create new variables that way.
