Subject | st: Installation of ado-files in Stata |
Date | Wed, 8 Jan 2014 08:00:23 +0000 |
Dear Stata users I am trying to install the "Bounds" package in Stata (Arie Beresteanu and Charles F. Manski 2000: Bounds for STATA: Draft Version 1.0). To use the ado-files of the package I have to type the command: adopath + "c:\stata\..." To avoid entering this command every time I open Stata, I should add the command to my "profile.do". My problem is that I can't find this "profile.do" file. (I don't have administration rights for my Stata, is that a problem?) Can anybody help me? How can I install the "Bounds" software? Thank you in advance. Franziska * * For searches and help try: * http://www.stata.com/help.cgi?search * http://www.stata.com/support/faqs/resources/statalist-faq/ * http://www.ats.ucla.edu/stat/stata/
