Thanks a lot, Sergiy!

For anyone interested, the trick was to drop a Stata macro after the
first run. The first run of runmplus (on Mac) resulted in a macro
mplus_path (providing the correct path).

runmplus would not run without that macro being dropped before or as
part of the input in the next run of Mplus from Stata. (I figured this
out thanks to Seriy's last suggestion, very grateful, Sergiy.)
