Karlygash Kuralbayeva <[email protected]> reported that he gets the error
r(603) when trying to use -irf create- after -svar-. He also mentioned that
Stata crashed while attempting to execute the -irf create- command line in
Stata 11 X64SE or 12 X64SE.
We have not received any other report about Stata crashing while executing
the -irf create- command.
We have received a few similar reports in tech-support about the r(603)
error when using -irf create-. In all the cases the problem has been related
to writing permission to save the file that -irf create- produces. Karlygash
needs to check whether he has authorization to save files in the working
directory that -irf create- is trying to use.
In case the problem persists, Karlygash can send me his dataset and his
do-file and I would execute his code on my computer to determine the
potential cause of the problem that he is reporting.
