Our IT staff are still working on restoring the server housing the SSC Archive, which was the victim of hackers Tuesday. During this time, Stata's -ssc- command will not work. However, you should be able to access the contents of the SSC Archive with this workaround. To install a package with name beginning with e, such as -egenmore- or -estout-,
net from http://fmwww2.bc.edu/bocode/e
which will give you the directory of the e-named materials. You may then click on the appropriate package, which will do the equivalent of -ssc describe-, and click on the link therein to do -ssc install-.
Updates to the SSC Archive are on hold pending restoration of the original server. Sorry for the inconvenience.
