Although this isn't much information, I'd suspect that your executable and other files are not in sync. Look carefully at the result of -update query-.

I am trying to run seemingly unrelated regressions with a panel data set using the xtsur command. The data is sorted and tsset. However, I get the following error:

not sorted
               st_data():  3598  Stata returned error
              _xtsurub():     -  function returned error
                 <istmt>:     -  function returned error


Any ideas?
