Ignorance is a condition treatable by computer searching.

I don't know that Gini coefficients are defined differently for spatial data. However, last time I looked seriously, the name "Gini coefficient" had been applied to about four quite different measures, so you might need to say which you have in mind.

More positively, -findit gini- might find what you want. Note that most if not all of the Stata functionality in this territory is user-written.

An ignorant question: I would like to know how can I compute a Gini coefficient using spatial data, for example regional unemployment rates?
