Please ignore my previous posts on this - I finally found the answer - this info is stored in "characteristics"

. char list
  _dta[_dta]:                 st
  _dta[st_ver]:               2
  _dta[st_bt]:                y4
  _dta[st_bd]:                fail3
  _dta[st_o]:                 0
  _dta[st_s]:                 1
  _dta[st_bs]:                1
  _dta[st_ifexp]:             y4 < . & (day==5 |day==1)
  _dta[st_d]:                 _d
  _dta[st_t0]:                _t0
  _dta[st_t]:                 _t

Thanks anyway,

Al F.

I forgot to also ask how to get the name of the time variable.

So for example after the command

stset y4 if y4 < . & (day==5 |day==1),fail(fail3)

Is there a way to retrieve the variable names "y4" and "fail3"?

Thanks, again.

Al F.

Hi - Does anyone know how to retrieve the name of the "failure" variable after -stset-? I don't see this information stored anywhere with rreturn or ereturn after -stset- or after running an estimation command such as -streg-.

Thanks

Al Feiveson
