Subject | st: Is it possible to recover estimation sample size used in -twoway lfit- |
Date | Fri, 23 Dec 2011 17:50:07 +0000 |
Dear Statalist, Does anyone know if it is possible to recover the estimation sample size used in -twoway lfit-? I've always assumed that the graphic produced by the command is based on a regression that uses listwise deletion, so the estimation sample size would be the number of cases that have complete data on the two variables involved. I want to recover this information to illustrate to students in an undergraduate class on data management the importance of understanding patterns of missing values. As a stab in the dark, I tried modifying the file "twoway__lfit_serset.ado" to create a matrix or global macro to store the sample size but neither approach worked. Thanks, Lance * * For searches and help try: * http://www.stata.com/help.cgi?search * http://www.stata.com/support/statalist/faq * http://www.ats.ucla.edu/stat/stata/
