Statalisters,

the program -sqindexplot- from the package -sq- for Sequence analysis
has been updated on SSC. Users of the package are asked to update their
installattion with

. adoupdate sq, update

New users of the package can install it with

. ssc install sq

The new Sequence-Index-Plots have much less of the annoying
"overplotting problem" that has been present in these plots so far. The
new default setting should prevent overplotting for most standard
applications, but the new version also provides the option "overplot()"
to control the width of lines. This allows you to fine tune the visual
impression between overplotting and underplotting (white space between
the lines) in situations when the default setting doesn't work.

In any case note that the visual impression of the plot depend on the
viewer (Stata Graph window, ghostview, xpdf, acrobat reader, etc), on
the resolution of the screen/beamer or on the resolution of the printer.

Many regards

Uli
