Michael,

from what I understood at this year's Users Group Meeting in Germany,
Stata Corp. is currently working on this. For the time being it is, to
my knowledge, not possible to label factor variables in Stata. If
there is no way you can do it in -estout- (available from SSC), you
probably have to do it in TeX.
