Sorry for leaving these questions open.
- I'm using xtivreg2 1.0.13 28Aug2011
- I'm not sure how to "create the L2 variables [my indep variables] as new
variables instead of having xtivreg2 do them"?
- Now about my Variable names:

xtivreg2 depvar [varlist1] (endogvar=iv),fe
==> xtivreg2 TaeglichesWachstum_relativ  GefaelltMir_AngabenDerPage

xtivreg2 depvar [varlist1] (endogvar=iv),fe first
==> just added the "first" option to the example above
_Information_Unternehmen_Produkt_m invalid name
r(198);

xtivreg2 depvar [varlist1] (endogvar=iv),fd
==> changed "fe" to "fd"
--> estimation works

xtivreg2 depvar [varlist1] (endogvar=iv),fd first
==> changed "fe" to "fd" and added the "first" option
--> D.TaeglichesWachstu invalid name
r(198);

fe option

Daniel,

A few things...

- You haven't told us which version of -xtivreg2- you're using or (in this
email) which version of Stata.

- You haven't told us what the variable names are. It's hard to comment on
what might be invalid about the variable names without this bit of
information!

- What part of the suggestion at

http://www.stata.com/statalist/archive/2009-12/msg00654.html

is unclear?

Cheers,
Mark
