Stata does not understand MATLAB code any more than MATLAB understands
Stata code.

It's not outstandingly difficult to translate MATLAB code to Mata, but
you do need modest competence in Mata.

I don't know if that answers your question. If not, you may need to
make more precise what you want to do.
