The way to treat a dataset depends not only on the 
characteristics of that dataset but also on the substantive
question that is being answered and your theory. On top of that
it depends on "less scientific" issues like the tradition
within your discipline and/or the journal within you whish
to publish, and the type of audience you are trying to reach.

In other words we cannot help you with this question.
