Dahlia, That error message is cryptic. Unfortunately strgroup does not include a plugin for 64-bit Windows, but there's workaround. You need to install a 32-bit version of Stata executable. You may want to do this anyway if you want to load Excel files via the odbc command and you don't have 64-bit version of Office. Here are the instructions: 1) You can download the 32-bit Stata executable here: http://www.stata.com/support/updates/stata11/win/ 2) Save the file in "C:\Program Files\Stata11" or wherever you installed Stata. Do not change the filename. 3) Go to your Stata directory "C:\Program Files\Stata11" or wherever you previously installed Stata. I assume you downloaded Stata.bin. Rename the new Stata.bin to Stata32.exe. 4) Click on that Stata32.exe and -ssc install strgroup-. 5) Load your data and use do the matching. Save the results. 6) Go back to 64-bit Stata for the rest of the analysis.
