See e.g. http://www.stata.com/statalist/archive/2010-09/msg00834.html from 20 Sept. On "Thanks in advance", see http://www.stata.com/support/faqs/res/statalist.html#others Nick n.j.cox@durham.ac.uk William Pratt I would like to sum values within a date range in a panel without using the command rolling (takes a lot of time to run). To be a bit more specific, I have a continuous 12 year panel and I would like to sum values over a range of 3 or 4 months for each member of the panel. So observation 1 would be a sum of x values for dates t(1) to t(120) and observation 2 would be a sum of x values for t(2) to t(121) and so on. The date is is in xx/xx/xxxx format and not indicated as a number. (Working with Stata10mp) Thanks in advance, William * * For searches and help try: * http://www.stata.com/help.cgi?search * http://www.stata.com/support/statalist/faq * http://www.ats.ucla.edu/stat/stata/
