Dear All,

I run an MNL model (Stata 10) for health provider choice. In the model I
have 7 categories (options) in the dependent variable and several
socio-economic and demographic independent variables:

. mlogit prov_type symptoms self_treat age daymiss insured hhsize rural
edu_sec married female, base (0)

Then I run:

. mlogtest, lr hausman

Stata gave me the lr test and hausman test result, but after this message:

Problem determining categories

I tried to regroup the depvar into 2 or 3 categories, but it still gave me
the "Problem determining categories" warning.
What mistake did I make? Are the lr and hausman test results still valid?

My depvar is :
0 No
1 Pubhos
2 HC
3 PriHos
4 Clinic
5 Phys
6 Parad
7 Trad

Any help would be very appreciated.

Pungkas
