Thank you all for your replies.

Since my first message, two new pieces of information:

1- on my office computer (XP, Stata 11 SE - but older stata versions also on the computer), I typed 'update all' (as suggested in a previous message for another problem) and relaunched the ado file after the update. The problem disappeared (but another one came up - I don't remember the exact message - and not in my office for the next 2 weeks).

2- I have juste tried the same ado file it on my laptop... (Windows 7, stata 11 SE - no older version). And it runs without any problem. It is a little mysterious to me, but it now works at least on one PC.

Best,

Bruno

One can use a command wrongly while still meeting the syntax requirements.
That's true whether the command is used interactively, in a do file or
in an ado file.
For example, if Bruno typed `z' but should have typed `x' it's not
necessarily invalid syntax.
Show us the code.

But a typo would induce Stata to complain about "invalid syntax", not the
lack of a -tempvar-, as in Bruno`s case...

Bruno, please show us what you did.
Maybe you just have a simple typo error in the reshape command in the ado
file?

Betreff: st: __000000 not found

Hello,

I transformed a do file into an ado file

The do file runs perfectly (I just run the part after program and before
end)

The ado file always stops with the following message " __000000 not
found" (after a reshape long).

Has anybody a clue for why this is happening (and how to solve this ?)

Thanks !

Bruno
