Thanks to Kit Baum an update of the -seqlogit- package is now available
from SSC. To install this update type in Stata:
-ssc install seqlogit, replace-, or -adoupdate, update-.

The -seqlogit- package estimates a sequential logit model, which can
be used to model a process that consists of a number of discrete steps,
e.g. education is attained by first deciding whether or not to finish
primary education, than those that finish primary education can continue
to choose whether or not finish secondary education, etc. The -seqlogit-
package has two aims: 1) to facilitate a decompostion proposed by Buis
(2010a) of the effect of explanatory varialbes on the final outcome (e.g.
highest attained level of education) into effects of these variables on
the odds of passing the constituent transtions and weights that represent
how influential that transition is. 2) to facilitate a sensitivity
analysis to investigate the potential influence of unobserved variables as
proposed by Buis (2010b).

This update implements new scenarios that can be used for the sensitivity
analysis. In particular it is now possible to let the unobserved variables
have a different effect at each transition, and it is possible to specify
that the unobserved variable folows a discrete distribution with user
specified densities instead of a normal (Gaussian) distribution.
