Thanks for your help, Roy. 

I tried to use eqkeep($debtmat) to keep ("$debtmat equation"), the
"myfile" did not contain any coefficients and standard errors from
("$debtmat equation"). However, it works perfectly with
eqdrop($leverage). Of course, we expect both eqkeep($debtmat) and
eqdrop($leverage) give us the same results. 

xi: reg3 ($leverage $debtmat  lnsize mb abearn $ivlist ) ($debtmat
$leverage $xlist i.year)

You can use eqkeep( ) option. The name of the equation is usually the 
dependent variable.
 
outreg2 using myfile, eqkeep($debtmat) ....
