-uvis- is for a long time been demoted to a helper program 
of -ice-, so it should be very very very rare that you have 
to use -uvis- rather than -ice-. So I think that is where 
the error is. More generally, make sure you are using the 
latest version of -ice- by using the one from SSC rather 
than SJ, i.e. type -ssc install ice, replace- to make sure 
that you have the latest version.
