Hello statalist members
I am trying to estimate Quadratic Almost Ideal demand system for 12 groups of food commodities using nlsur as suggested by Dr. Brian P. Poi (2008) demand system estimation: update. Poi (2008) stated nlsur is faster and requires only one ancillary ado file…. In my cases, its computation takes a bit longer time (more than 4 hours) and sometimes it doesn’t allow me to run for more than 10 commodity groups. Moreover, whenever, I am changing the number of commodity groups to let say 10 from 12, I need to modify the ado file subsequently. Is there anyone who wrote it in a loop (a syntax) and willing to share it with me his/her ado file(s)? Any help is appreciated.
