Hello,
My name is Olusegun Jegede. I'm an MPH student at the University of Washington, seattle. I'm current working on my Master's Thesis. I have a problem with combining two diffent variables using Stata. Both of them are numeric variables, variable A has two range- i.e number of years (1996 and 1998) while variable B has five range i.e mother's race (Hispanic, whites, Asian/pacific, African/American, and others).
Is it possible to combine these two variables seeing that they have diffent range. If yes, please guide me through.

Very respectfully,
Olusegun
MPH Stdent, UW Seattle.
