Patrick may mean that he wants marker symbols, i.e. a -connected- graph.
The answer is yes. Here is one way to do that: 

. tsline ar ma, ms(O S) recast(connected)

If you lack access to the Graph Editor (which is a disclosable item on
the 
list as you then use something other than Stata 10.1), you can still
employ 
the -text- option

sysuse tsline1, clear
tsset lags
tsline ar ma,  text(`=ar[75]' 75 "Ar at time=75", place(e))
