There's never any need to send "test" emails to Statalist or any other
mailing list.

Simply post your message when you are ready to do so.  You will then
receive it back from the mailing list or you can check the archives to
ensure that your message made it through.

Sending "test" emails needlessly clutters the inbox of other list
members and the archives.
