2009 MEXICAN STATA USERS GROUP MEETING: First Announcement and Call for Presentations

The first Mexican Stata Users Group meeting will be held in Mexico City at the Universidad Iberoamericana (www.uia.mx/). The meeting is open to all interested, either from Mexico or abroad. StataCorp will be represented.

DATE

Thursday, April 23, 2009.

VENUE

Universidad Iberoamericana, Mexico City campus, Prolongación Paseo de la Reforma 880, Lomas de Santa Fe, México C.P. 01219, Distrito Federal, México. The program will be announced in February 2009.

REGISTRATION FEE

Before Feb. 28 2009: attendees $900.00 pesos, Students $450.00 pesos. Late registration: attendees $1,200.00 pesos, Students $600.00 pesos. MultiON Consulting will generously sponsor registration fee waivers for talks (one fee waiver per talk, regardless of the number of authors involved).

SUBMISSIONS

We encourage submissions on any topic related to the use of Stata, such as the following:

-discussion of user-written Stata programs.
-case studies of research or teaching using Stata.

-discussions of data-management problems.

-reviews of analytical issues.

-surveys or critiques of Stata facilities in specific fields.


Please email a member of the scientific committee if you are interested, and indicate whether you wish to give a 20-minute talk (with a 10-minute discussion) or a 45-minute talk (with a 15-minute discussion).

LANGUAGE

The meeting will be bilingual with no translations of any kind. Presentations can be delivered in either English or Spanish according to the preference of the presenter.
