I forgot to mention that lrelperf = log of (mcavfoia04avgjul/lcavfoia04avgjul)

These are the two equations:
xtpcse lrelperf lthreeyearphaselagmedwq lavgflowfoia04avg lrnwhite lmhhi lcarpl lmanuf lpopt elec food mill paper chem petro rubber leather metal transp secu just winter spring fall nbrelperfflow yeardum* MD PA, hetonly corr(ar1)

xtpcse lmcavfoia04avgjul llcavfoia04avgjul lthreeyearphaselagmedwq lavgflowfoia04avg lrnwhite lmhhi lcarpl lmanuf lpopt elec food mill paper chem petro rubber leather metal transp secu just winter spring fall nbabsperfflow yeardum* MD PA, hetonly corr(ar1)

I tried switching the order of equations but neither works. I think it is because I dont know how to save the estimates properly
test [ #2= #1]: lthreeyearphaselagmedwq
equation #2 not found

test [#1=#2] : lthreeyearphaselagmedwq
equation #2 not found
thanks for your help

Kindly please advise what you mean :-) Testing equality of coefficients
between equations is usually accomplished via -syntax 4- of -test-. Which
two equations are you referring to, though?

Hi,
Kindly please advise on how to test for equality of coefficients across two
equations after xtpcse command.
thanks
Lopa
