Hi listers,
I have drawn a lorenz curve for healthcare spending (varname 'spent'). The
curve shows a sudden jump upwards at about 0.5 units along the x-axis. Here
is my command line:
glcurve spent [aw=weight], glvar(pay) pvar(rank) sortvar(income) replace
lorenz
In order to understand this sudden jump, I have tried the following:
twoway dropline spent rank, mlabel(spent)
But I am not able to understand/explain the sudden shift as there are no
high 'spent' values around where rank==0.5. Would any be able to help me
understand this please?
