Thanks Nick. While waiting for my message to show up on the list
(I still don't see it) I wrote my own binomial generator, and found
the same problem.
Which led to the realization of a fundamental problem with what I'm
trying to do. Let me look at it some more, and apologize in the mean
time for a spurious post.
