st: invalid 'and' error with mim

Hi,
 
I get an error message   invalid ' and' when I try to run mim in stata
10 (e.g. mim: logistic any_dc  female  ).  I've installed mim, have the
dataset in a mim format and this identical syntax on the same dataset
seemed to work fine on another computer - any suggestions about what may
be wrong?
