Dear all,

the compact version of the German General Social Survey (ALLBUS) is now available for free download as a .dta-file.
The data can be used for social research and, as they are very good edited and documented, for teaching ( e.g. introductory courses in Stata).

For more detailed information, see

http://www.gesis.org/en/social_monitoring/allbus/e_service_guide.htm (ENGLISH HOMEPAGE)
http://www.gesis.org/Dauerbeobachtung/Allbus/service_guide.htm (GERMAN HOMEPAGE)

Additional information for those, who don't know what the German General Social Survey (ALLBUS) is:
The German General Social Survey (ALLBUS) is a biennial survey that has been conducted since 1980 on the attitudes, behaviour, and social structure of persons resident in Germany. A representative cross-section of the population is questioned using face-to-face interviews.

Best regards,

Marcel
