Try findit art. It will give you a link to programs that will allow calculation of sample size requirements for various tests including survival models.

Subject: st: sample size calculation for survival data

Dear all,

Could somebody help me to get to know how one could calculate a sample size from
an existing medical records database. I would like to carry out a retrospective
study on clinical data collected for HIV/AIDS clients. I am estimating
mortality. How could I go about it?

Thank you

Kenneth
