Hi stata users,
I wounder if I can import a gauss or matlab program to Stata?
No, but it is quite straightforward to translate MATLAB code to Mata (Stata's matrix language; help Mata).
GAUSS programs are a bit more difficult due to GAUSS syntax. You can either translate into Mata or run it in Ox (http:// doornik.com), which can run GAUSS programs (in some cases faster than GAUSS). The console version of Ox is free for academic use.
