Hi,

I have a binary outcome, Y , with the number of cases Y=1 is equal to 230 and for Y=0, I have 2100 individuals.

I want to analyse the relationship between Y and some continuous and discrete covariates.

I would like to know if the standard logistic regression is appropriate for this problem.

Thanks,

Sami
I would think so, although there is always the possibility that some other link function (probit, cloglog) or other alternative technique (scobit) might be better. It seems that the percentage of 1s is large enough that you don't need rare events logit. Still, you might check out Gary King's -relogit- program and his papers on it.
