With log linear I assume that you mean that you have 
taken the log of y (what have you done with the 0s?) 
and that the x is still in the original metric. So no 
the interpretation of -mfx- with the dydx option (the 
default, so in my example I just called -mfx- without 
option) is the percentage change in y for a unit 
change in x. To get elasticities of the form 
percentage change in y for a percentage change in x, 
you need to add the dyex option.
