A big thank you for your help Jeph Herrin, Michael Hanson, Scott Merryman,
Nick Cox.

I have just noticed that some of my messages did not get posted on the
statalist archive. If I understand correctly this means they have not been
received. The messages do get saved in my "sent message" folder as having
been sent to "[email protected]". It may have something to do
with the subject line. The messages I send with a new subject line
immediately appeared on statalist. But when I "reply", there seems to be a
problem. Maybe the problem is that the subject line of the message I am
replying to gets copied automatically without adding a "Re:". Perhaps
sending a message with an already existing subject line messes things up...
? I will add "Re:" in front of the subject line to see if this one gets
posted...

I did not find anything about this in the faqs.

This is embarrassing as the messages that did not get posted are the "thank
you" notes I have been sending to the many who have helped me.

Patrick.
