These error messages seem to indicate that your Stata 9 ado files have
been corrupted or otherwise comprimised by some pre-Stata 9 versions of
these files. These error messages point out that you are getting pre-Stata
9 behavior for the commands -_diparm- and -ml model-, whereas -xtmixed- is
relying on Stata 9 behavior.
Another possibility is that you have altered your adopath so that the
pre-Stata 9 files are taking precedence where they should not be.
You should also make sure that your ado-files and executable are in sync.
Type -update query- and follow the instructions.
If after checking for the above, the problem persists, please write in to
tech support at [email protected].
