I am using "tssmooth shwinters" to forecast monthly payroll employment data.
When I specify the "additive" option, Stata cannot converge on optimal smoothing
parameters and simply iterates off to infinity. When this happens, the output
indicates "(backed up)" after each iteration.

Any ideas on what is happening?

Thanks.
