Hi,

I am having difficulties getting the datapoints on a twoway plot (histogram and connected line) to align correctly. The problem arises even when a simple script is used:

twoway (connected tot_num doy)(histogram doy, discrete freq barwidth(1))

tot_num numbers the events that occur over the year consecutively; doy is the day of the year on which each event occurred.

The problem is, that despite using a common x-axis, the corresponding bars on the frequency histogram and points on the connected line graph do not line up. The majority of the points on the connected line appear to be shifted to the right of their corresponding frequency bars.

Any help would be appreciated!
