st: why is the F-statistic missing in OLS reported results?

Dear Statalisters,

The F-statistic is missing in my OLS reported results (I just used command reg), although the 
regression coefficients and the other esitmates are not missing.   I have encountered this 
problem a lot.   Is there anyone understanding why this happened?  Many thanks,
