I understand that the centroid
extraction method in factor analysis is
often looked upon skeptically due to its
indeterminancy. However, for
theoretical reasons I would like to be
able to use it for Q-factor analysis of
persons rather than traits following
Stephenson's Q-Methodology.

It appears that Stata does not support a
centroid extraction method for factor
analysis and using Stata's "findit" I
was unable to find whether there are any
user routines for this factor extraction
method.

Does anyone know whether it is possible
to use centroid extraction in Factor
Analysis with Stata? I have a DOS
program that can do this, but I would
prefer to keep my project in Stata.

Thanks for any information or advice.

George
