Buddy,
When you say import, do you mean that you are doing a copy and paste from
Excel to Stata's data editor, reading the file in from a tab delimited or
.csv file, or using Stat/Tranfer software to put the Excel data into Stata
format?

Hi Everyone,
I did a FAQ search on this and got some wierd results.
I'm new to STATA and have a simple question.
I want to import an excel file that has variable names
on the first line. For some reason, it imports the
data but not the variable names. Can anyone help?
Thanks,
Buddy
