Thanks to Kit Baum, a new package called -gsample- is
available from the SSC Archive.
Type
. ssc install gsample
to install the package.
-gsample- is a very flexible sampling command. It is the
unification of official Stata's -sample- and -bsample-
and, in addition, provides unequal probability sampling
(UPS/PPS).
-gsample- is implemented as a wrapper for the new
-mm_sample()- function from the -moremata- package.
Therefore, -moremata- is required on your system. To
install or update -moremata-, type
. ssc install moremata, replace
