I'm wondering if there is any way to make stata play a sound, like a
simple beep.
The following (on Windows) will play a sound:
!mplay32 /play /close c:\winnt\media\tada.wav
Or you can take your pick from the other exciting sounds in that directory.
I am sure you can wrap this up in a .do file as well.
