There is always a danger when responding to a message from a computer
on which Stata is not installed, but shouldn't it be possible to assign
the commands "set trace on" and "set trace off" each to a function
key? Granted, I don't think you can make a single F-key toggle the
trace state, but if this works it would be less typing for you. Just a
thought....
