I'll make a confession to you: I hadn't actually downloaded SPost 9 until
I saw these posts! When I tried to, it kept failing because it said I had
already some of the packages downloaded (e.g., -fitstat-, -prgen-,
-prtab-, etc.). Even forcing the installation didn't replace those files!
Indeed, I've discovered I've got an even older version of -fitstat- than
even you've got:

. which fitstat
c:\ado\plus\f\fitstat.ado
*! version 1.6.7 5/22/01 - change LRX2

so that puts both of us in the dark. What I'm going to try and do is to
individually -ssc uninstall- those routines which Stata refuses to replace
and then download SPost 9 again. I find it difficult to see what other
alternative there is right now.

Whereever you go and whatever you do, just remember this. No matter how
many like you, admire you, love you or adore you, the number of people
turning up to your funeral will be largely determined by local weather
conditions.
