.

Dear List,

Has anyone made use of the new Stata 9 "procrustes" command for analysis of shape?

A nice website describing shape analysis is at http:// life.bio.sunysb.edu/morph/, where there is quite a list of specialized software. The "TPS" series by Rohlf is very good as is the "IMP" series by Sheets.

There is also a nice book out for biologists describing shape statistics and how to use some of these tools:

"Geometric morphometrics for biologists: A Primer".

R has a package called "shapes" that does the basics too.
